Creative Carpenter, Analog Photographer
Working locally and internationally, leading projects and teams and participating within them to create artistic structures and new ways of connecting with communities. Photographing as I go I am an Artist, a designer/woodworker for hire and for collaborations, residing in West Marin County.
A local of Point Reyes Station Gabriel Korty is the designer, and creator of Parachute Days. Parachute Days is a seasonal music venue/community space made of reclaimed wood and a 100' wide parachute. Aside from Parachute Days hosting major touring acts, weddings, memorial services, and local benefit events, Gabriel's work has been featured in other bay area music festivals and has received commissions in Oregon for the Spirit Weavers Gathering and Bali Indonesia for the new restaurant Parachute Bali. Being a self taught unorthodox carpenter Gabriel turned to more artistic building styles after working for David Best on the 2014 Burning Man Temple of Grace and on David's Temple Of Derry, in Derry Ireland. Throughout Gabriel's life he has documented his experiences through film photography building a seldom released archive.

Parachute Days is a multipurpose community space built at Love Field, an old baseball field between Point Reyes Station and Inverness, CA. The space is built in the spring and hosts events throughout the summer until fall when it is stored for the winter. Parachute Days has hosted Weddings and private events, benefits for local non profits, movie nights, and Concerts ranging from 200-900 people with all types of music.
Parachute Days is a project I started in 2015. It began as a community bbq with performances by musician friends under a 64' parachute only supported by driftwood. The project has now grown be a part of the community. A gigantic shade structure made with a 100' reclaimed parachute supported with stable, artistic infrastructure made from reclaimed sustainable materials.
